The British-Irish Council held a marine litter symposium today hosted by the Scottish Government. The environment Ministers from across the Member Administrations of the British-Irish Council were welcomed to the Strathclyde University Technology and Innovation Centre by Roseanna Cunningham MSP Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform.

The British-Irish Council Energy work sector today held a Ministerial meeting hosted by the Scottish Government at St Andrews House, Edinburgh. Ministers approved the Forward Work Plan of the sector.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Paul Wheelhouse MSP, Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy in the Scottish Government and Lord Duncan of Springbank, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Scotland and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
The Council’s Misuse of Substances work sector held a Ministerial meeting in Cardiff this morning hosted by Rebecca Evans AM, Minister for Social Services and Public Health. The Irish Government leads this work sector for the Council and the meeting was chaired by Catherine Byrne TD, Minister of State for Health Promotion and the National Drugs Strategy.
