The British-Irish Council held its 30th Summit meeting today hosted by the Government of Guernsey. The heads of delegation were welcomed to the St Pierre Park Hotel by the Chief Minister of Guernsey, Deputy Gavin St Pier, on behalf of the Government of Guernsey. On behalf of the Council the Chief Minister also welcomed Senator John Le Fondré, Chief Minister of Jersey, who was attending his first British-Irish Council Summit.

The Chief Minister of Jersey, Senator Ian Gorst, hosted the 29th British-Irish Council Summit on the 10th of November. The meeting was attended by Heads of Administration and Ministers from the BIC Member Administrations.

Chief Minister Ian Gorst will host the 29th British-Irish Council Summit meeting in Jersey next week. It will be the fourth time the BIC Summit has been held in Jersey. The meeting will be attended by leaders and Ministers from the Council’s Member Administrations.  

One of the main topics of discussion at the summit will be the creative industries and approaches being taken by the Member Administrations.
