This week, the British-Irish Council Early Years work sector will hold a Ministerial meeting hosted by the UK Government. The meeting will be chaired by Julie Morgan MS, Deputy Minister for Social Services, Welsh Government.

In recent years, officials from the Early Years work sector have shared their learning, perspectives and experiences on early years policy across the BIC Member Administrations.

As part of the programme for this meeting, Ministers will hear from the leader of an early years’ service provider about the expansion of the English childcare offer and sector supply challenges.

Ministers will also consider a plan for the future focus of the work sector, including approaches to workforce, childhood experience, child poverty and child development.
