This week, the British-Irish Council Creative Industries Work Sector will hold a Ministerial meeting hosted by the Isle of Man Government. The meeting will be chaired by Deputy Kirsten Morel, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture.
In recent years, officials from the Creative Industries work sector have shared their learning, perspectives and experiences in developing and supporting the creative industries sector across the BIC Member Administrations.
At the meeting, Ministers will hear about social prescribing in primary care settings and will discuss how to support wellbeing through and within the creative industries sector.
Ministers will also consider a plan for the future focus of the work sector, including supporting the growth and resilience of the sector through the use of technology. They will also consider ways to harness creative approaches to societal issues and consider linkages with other work sectors such as Social Inclusion and Indigenous, Minority and Lesser-Used Languages.
